Clear fields, all peace- the perfect scene for the Rainbow Dragoness~

She hummed a happy melody as her elegant wings soared through the sky. The sunlight reflected off her lavender scales, lighting her beautiful body.

But just one thing softly hit her ears, creating an immediate halt to the humming. It was just as Najada suspected-

the soft cry of a young Serpentine. She looked down, only to see a teal blue cobra hugging his knees in the fields.

She flew down to the snakelet's side. "What is the matter, my dear young one?" she wrapped a wing around him.

"I... I lost my family- they were all entombed inside a large cave without me!" he cried.

Najada was heartbroken- she hadn't seen a young serpent so sad. "Aww... don't worry-" she whispered softly, her sea blue eyes glinted in the sun. "I will help care for you..." 

The young snakelet looked up. "You- you will?" his eyes widened.

"Of course~!" Najada smiled. "It's what I do best! I also protect those who are unable to protect themselves- like you! Well, for now, anyways~"

"Oh thank you thank you thank you so much!!" The snakelet hugged Najada tight. "You know- you look beautiful! Your colorful tail and spikes are amazing! And I l-love how your scales shine in the light!"

The dragoness blushed. "Oh- why-why thank you so much!" she giggled. "You're such a sweet little guy~"

Najada took the young boy on her back and soared once more through the sky- this time, making him smile and laugh.

Happiness was weaved throughout the rest of their days, with not one glint of pessimism stopping them...
